If you are planning to host a poker tournament at your house or condo then you should make it a point that everyone enjoys their stay. Why? There are a lot of poker players out there that simply play poker to have fun, not to win. Is this hard to believe? If you are finding this hard to believe then follow this train of thought.
How much do you pay when you go to a bar and meet people? If you are a guy then you are probably going to buy yourself a couple of drinks and try to buy a girl a couple of drinks. If you are a girl then you are probably going to buy clothes that will make guys buy you a drink. All in all, you will be spending a lot of money. How much do you pay for stuff when you go out? That is the question. If you come to think of it, you spend a lot of money trying to entertain yourself every time the weekend comes, right? If you play poker then all you are paying for is the buy in. When you play poker at someone else’s house or someone else’s condo, you are simply paying for the buy in. A buy in is normally not so expensive. Come to think of it, if you simply want to have a good time with other people and if you simply want to meet people then joining a poker invitational from time to time is the way to go. You will not be spending hundreds of dollars on a night out. Instead, you get to hang around people with just a few bucks. Sometimes, the people that you meet in a poker game are more interesting than people that you meet in bars. Think about it. Are you willing to continue spending hundreds of dollars on bar night outs? You may want to do it once in a while. If you are going to do it every weekend then may be you should change your status to millionaire. Going to poker games is an alternative to spending a lot of money on other things. If you are entertained in a poker game then all the money that you spent in your buy in is worth it.

May be once in awhile, people would go there but ultimately they would want to spend time at your poker tournaments. Riffling your chips

It is very nice to intimidate your opponents at the poker table. You will be able to give off this untouchable aura to the others. If you go head to head with someone at the poker table then they would know when to start folding their cards and backing off. If you want to intimidate your opponents at the poker table then you should know how to riffle your chips.
What is chip riffling anyway? Chip riffling is basically being able to shuffle your chips as if they were cards in a deck. When you riffle your chips at the poker table, it gives off the impression that you are an experienced poker player. When your opponents know that you are an experienced poker player, they will know that they should not be messing with you at the poker table. The ability to riffle your chips shows that you have spent a great deal of time at the poker table.
So how do you riffle your chips anyway? Riffling your chips takes a lot of practice. First of all, make two equal stacks of poker chips in front of you. If you are a right handed poker player then use your right hand to riffle your chips. If you are a left handed poker player then use your left hand to riffle your chips. When you have the two equal stacks of poker chips in front of you, use your dominant hand to hold them together side by side. Using your index finger, slightly lift up one stack against the other. After this, slightly lift the other stack so that spaces will be made for the other stack to come in. use your index finger to guide in the two stacks together. It may seem a bit complicated at first but with a little practice, you will get the hang of it sooner or later. If you are having a hard time then all you have to do is lower the number of chips. Start with three chips per stack first then move on to four chips and then so on and so forth.
Once you are able to riffle your chips successfully, you will be able to let your opponents know that you are not a joke on the poker table. You have come to the poker table to win. The ace is really the most powerful card on the deck. Why is this so? Aside from being the highest card in the deck, the ace is also the card with the most number of combinations possible. What do I mean when I say that you can make the most possible combinations with an ace? First, think about the other cards and their combinations. From the cards two to ten and the face cards up to the king, you can make so many five card combinations like the straight, the flush, the straight flush, the royal flush, the full house, the pairs, and the triplets. Okay fine, you may think that these cards have the same combinations as the ace but if you think about it, the ace has so much more.
The ace can act as the highest card in a straight from a ten to the ace. On the other end of the spectrum, the ace can also act as the lowest card in a straight involving a five. I am sure that you know this but you may have failed to realize that the ace is a quasi wild card. You can use your ace as a highest card and you can also use your ace as the lowest card. At the end of the day, you can make two possible straights with an ace. You may now be thinking, what about the ten, or the nine, or the seven, aren’t you also able to make the highest and the lowest straight with these cards too? Yes, you are correct, you may also use your nine as the lowest card on a straight to the king or you can also use your nine as the highest card from a four to a nine. But if you think about it, the ace is the only card that can be a high when there is a face card involved. You can not use the jack as the low card in a straight. You can not use the queen card as the low card on a straight. Even more, you can not use the king as the low card on the straight. But the ace, that is a different story. You can use the ace as the highest card of all and you can use the ace as the lowest card of all. In this way, your ace has power packed potential when it is in your hands.
When you have the ace in your hands, you can be confident that you can dominate the table at anytime. When low cards come out like threes and fours, you can be confident that you can still make a straight anytime. When high cards come out like kings and queens, you can be confident that you can still make a high straight. On either road, you can be a winner. If you have the ace in your hand, never fear. The only thing you should worry about is someone else with an ace. Or worry about someone else with two aces.

Poker will certainly get you immersed into the game. You are at the poker table. You have your chips right in front of you. You are ready to take out your opponent with a big slick. There is a flush draw that is about to happen on the river. You go all in and for some stroke of luck, the final card is suited like yours. You make the flush and you take home the pot. You are the champion. Poker is so much fun but for every game, for every good time, there has to be an end.
When a poker game ends and you have to go home, you have to part with your friends, and you have to go back to work, there is some feeling of sadness. Poker is so much fun. When it ends, it gets a bit sad. You have to face reality once again after a good game of poker. You have to go back to work. You have to work those long hours and you have to make sacrifices in order to make ends meet. You have to pay for the rent or the amortization of your house. You have to pay for the car or you have to pay for the bus ticket you need to go to work. You have to pay for the food that you will eat. You have to pay for everything that touches you. Yes, that is the reality. You have to work hard. You have to make sure that you can contribute something to this world so that the world can give something back to you at the end of the day.
How do you face reality my dear friend?
The best way to face this reality is to see the light at the end of the tunnel. You have to see that you are going somewhere. You have to see that at the end of the tunnel, there is a poker table with your friends waiting for you. There is a poker table there that has the best food and the best drinks surrounding it. The turn card

The turn card is one of the cards in poker that really makes things complicated. For example, you have a two and a five that are off suit. The flop is a four. The turn card comes and it shows a three. You are only one card away from a straight. What should you do? Should you go all in or should you get out if somebody raises?
The turn card is called the turn card because it turns events around. At one point in the poker game, you may think that your cards are a bunch of crap. When the turn card comes out, your crappy cards may end up looking like a potential five card combination that can take out a pocket ace any time. Yes, this is the power of the turn card. Things change. Events change. Your poker situation will be moved.
How do you address the turn card? There are several ways of analyzing the turn card. First of all, you can use the turn card as the buffer prior to the river. If you have a straight draw or a flush draw after the flop then you have two chances to make it. You have the turn card and you have the river card. If you see it this way, you can be aggressive early on. You can start raising when you sense that you will be able to make the five card combination. If you think that you can hit the five cards then play aggressive early on.
Second, you can use the turn card as the bluffer card. For example, you have a pocket king and then two kings come out on the flop. You definitely do not want to make things obvious, right? You want to reel in the funds as much as possible, right? Wait for the turn card to come up and make your move. If the turn card is a jack then you can bluff that you have a jack. No one will be thinking that you have the pocket kings. The turn card is your bluffer card. You an use the turn card to bluff your opponents on what you have or what you don’t have. Let us say you are doing the reverse. If you have a two and a four off suit and then an ace comes out on the flop. On the turn card, another ace comes up. You can pretend that you have an ace and go all in. Everyone will be scared because everyone thinks that you have the ace. You have triplet ace and no one can seem to beat your hand. If this is the case, you can bluff your way to victory by going all in and scaring everyone off.
The turn card is a very crucial card in poker, anything can happen on the turn card. It will change events, it will change the rhythm, and it will eventually change the winner of the game. You have to use the turn card very well because you can make or break your poker game with this card.
Pre flop acting

It is so nice to receive pocket aces on the pre flop, right? But what are the chances that you will end up getting pocket aces most of the time. If you get pocket aces every night at poker then you are certainly one of the luckiest guys in poker. Pocket aces will rarely show up in your hand and you have to consider yourself lucky if you have them.
Most of the time, you are going to get weird cards. You are going to get a three and a seven. You are going to get an eight and a two. You are going to get a ten and a four. These cards look horrible. In any case, how can you act as if you got pocket aces? Here are some tips that you can use when acting on the pre flop.
First, go all in. Yes, I am not kidding. A lot of people are scared to go all in on the first hand and if you can pull this off, then you are a solid bluffer. From time to time, you can pull this off especially if you are getting desperate. Steal the blinds and make sure that you do not get caught. Sometimes, you can go all in with a jack and a ten but do not keep this rate going because someone will end up calling you if the pocket aces are really with him or her.
Second, try smiling when you get your cards. This is the best way to make everyone think that you have good cards. Make a seriously strange raise on the pre flop and then you will see a lot of people folding their hands. If you can make others think that you have good cards on the pre flop then you are in good hands for the entire poker match.
Third, talk to your seat mate and tell him or her that you have pocket aces. Say this in a normally louder voice than usual. Do not say it too loud because people will think that you are bluffing. When you have them in your act, all you have to do is pull the trigger. You can make your move on the pre flop and then move in to steal the pot.
Finally, if you really want to do some seriously strange pre flop act then you can simply go all in all of the time until someone calls you. Eventually, you might just keep winning. If you go all in all the time, you will never know if someone will accidentally call you when you have good cards. You might even end up winning the game if you are really lucky on that night. But seriously, do not do this unless you feel unusually daring and unusually lucky on that night.
Pre flop acting is just as important as acting at the end of the turn card and at the end of the river card. If you happen to be one of the lucky people on earth then you can actually win the poker match without any of the community cards even showing up.

There are a lot of things that are similar between basketball and poker. If you understand the game of basketball very well, you will be able to use it in your poker games. Here are some tips from basketball players who play poker.
First, in basketball, the three point shot is a lower percentage shot in comparison to a two point shot. Although a three point shot has more points, it has a lower percentage. On average, a three point shot goes in one out of three times while a two point shot goes in one out of two times. So what do we learn from this? If you take twelve three point shots and one third goes in, you will end up with twelve points. If you take twelve two point shots and one half goes in, you will end up with twelve points also. This means that when you take lower percentage shots, you have to be rewarded with more points. If you take higher percentage shots, you are awarded lesser points. In poker, the logic is the same. If you have a high chance of winning the hand then you should be willing to bet as much as you want. If you have a low chance of winning the hand then you should either fold or simply check.
Second, basketball players guard the opponent very well. In basketball, the greater the defender translates into a lower percentage of shots made for the opposing player. Basketball players that defend well like Raja Bell make sure that scorers like Kobe Bryant don’t drop eighty one points in a single game. In the game of poker, the logic is also the same. You have to defend your chips when opposing players attempt to get it. You have to know when to fold when someone knows that you are bluffing. Men all around the world offer their hard earned money to her so that they can spend their lives with them. Men all around the world want to be seen with this trophy girl. The queen of diamonds is the woman that turns heads. She is the woman that will make the most powerful men kneel before her.
There are a lot of comparisons and references to the queens of the poker deck, especially the queen of hearts and the queen of diamonds. These red headed queens have a lot to do with men and their women. What kind of women does the queen of hearts refer to? What kind of women does the queen of diamonds refer to?
First, let us start with the queen of hearts. The queen of hearts is the woman that will love you no matter what. She will move heaven and earth to make you happy. She is the type of woman who will cook for you in the morning when you wake up. She is the type of woman that will make you supper when you get home from work. She is the type of woman that will take care of your children and raise them the way you would them to be raised. The queen of hearts captivates many hearts of men out there. Some men want both the queen of hearts and the queen of diamonds. Some men want pocket queens. Well, pocket queens have been referred to by poker players as four tits. If you are a guy that can handle four tits at once then you must be a very good manager. You would not want to see two queens fighting. You would not want to be black listed among all the queens out there, right? If you are going to go for a queen then you have to make sure what you are getting into. Do not attempt anything silly or else the last laugh will be about you, the joker, who is automatically removed from the deck.
The worst hand ever

If you are wondering what the worst hand in poker is then it is the two and the seven off suit. Why is it the worst hand in poker? There are several reasons why this is the worst hand in poker. First, they are not suited. Your chances of making a flush are really horrible. Even if the flop is entirely suited with yours, you are still on a flush draw. If you hit the flush on the turn card or on the river then you are still at a handicap. Why? Because your cards are so freaking low! Someone else out there might have the same suited card with a higher number. There go half of your chips.
Second, your chances of making a straight are also equally horrible. Think about it. If you have three, four, and five on the flop, you still need another card to make a straight. If the turn card shows up as an ace then you have the lowest possible straight in the world. If a six shows up then you may be in luck because of the seven. In any case, someone else may still have a seven and an eight! They will still have the higher straight. There go half of your chips again!
Third, your pairs are going to be horrible. If you get a two pair or a pair seven then you are still unlikely to win a pot with other players there with a pair ten or even two pairs. You are in the worst possible case when it comes to pairing.
If you get a two seven off suit then it is up to you on how you want to play it. Some people play this hand some people simply fold. If you are a risk taker then you should at least wait for the flop to come out. If you are really daring then go for it until the river card comes up. If you are a very conservative player then you can simply fold these cards right at the onset. The bottom line is that when you are dealt with a two seven off suit, it is not the end of the world. You are not in total poverty and you are not totally hopeless. What you have to do when you are dealt with a two seven off suit is to simply find a way to bluff something or find a way to hit at least triplets. Good luck if you are dealt with the deadly two seven off suit. If you find yourself in this rut, remember to keep your poise and pretend to have pocket aces.
Sometimes you know the look of someone who has been dealt with the two seven off suit. Their face looks sad. They look depressed. To some extent, they will look pale for a couple of seconds. If you can notice this in players then you know who to pick on. If someone gets a two seven off suit then you know what to do with that person already.
