It is very nice to feel like the chip leader. You have the most chips at the table and you can bully anyone at any point in the game. Even though you are the chip leader, you still have to keep in mind some techniques so that you do not lose your stronghold at the table. Listen to some of my tips so that you will be able to keep that lead and eventually win the poker match.

When you are the chip leader at the poker table, you deserve to take it easy for awhile. One of the strategies of the chip leader in poker is to cruise. What do I mean when I say cruise? When you are the chip leader, you do not have to play as many hands as possible, instead, you only have to play the best hands possible. Since you have the chip lead, all you have to do is allow your blinds to be taken unless the blinds are big. You should only play when you have really nice cards. What happens if you continue playing like before? The chances that someone else at the poker table will get your chips will be high. If you keep playing the normal hands, the others may have a chance to pounce at the opportunity when they can. Once in a while, they will be able to get a good hand and they will chip away your lead slowly. So what should you do? You should simply take it easy and cruise. You should allow your opponents to battle each other out first before a worthy opponent comes your way.

Another strategy of the chip leader is the big bully strategy. What do you do when you are a big bully? You take away the little guy’s lunch money. When you are the big bully at the table, you can bully the others. When there is a hand, you can easily put the guy all in. When your opponent is in an all in situation, he or she will certainly think twice about going against you. He or she will be knocked out with one wrong move. In this case, if you are the bully, you can intimidate anyone on the table. You will be able to scare them off even if you do not have any cards. You will be able to get them out of their game.

Being the chip leader at the table is certainly very nice. You have to learn how to play like the chip leader though. If you are the chip leader, make sure that you keep that lead. It is very wasteful to be the chip leader and end up losing the game in the end. If you are the chip leader, make sure it stays that way until the very end. If you want to make sure that you end up being the winner then you have to keep your heads up and learn how to cruise and bully.
